Wildlife rehabilitation. It's expensive. It's tiring. It's generally out of your own pocket or if you are lucky, donations help. We understand this and will work with you to get a design and structure to fit your needs and budget. Make sure to include your 501(c)3 information when you contact us because you can waive sales taxes from where the materials are purchased (generally Home Depot).

With every build, I have preliminary questions on what you want and any customizations that will affect time and materials. I then provide you with a written estimate and design images. If you approve, we pick some dates and a contract is sent over. I do not ever upcharge on materials and the labor charge covers everything else start to finish. The only other items, which are included on the estimate, are for service area charges or if I am purchasing liability insurance for the work.

Below, you will find a few projects that have been completed for clients or personal need.

An aviary made in 2024:

A small enclosure, flat roof was requested at the end but not a big problem as it was built on a decline (see the home siding for reference). Pressure treated 2x4's with hardware cloth everywhere and under the crushed stone (added by client after).

An 8'x24' run for chickens, but could just as easily be for wildlife! This size, however, may require permitting and other rules imposed by your municipality.

A recent build, an 8'x10'x8' enclosure with a half shingled roof. This was made for a tight budget so no pressure treated materials. Yes, the wood will not last as nearly as long, especially what is in contact with the ground, but, the walls were screwed onto the bottom plates and can be replaced easily (or more easily) if necessary.

Custom storage or nesting boxes to fit your need. Can also be made to look pretty too but *most* rehabbers want it functional without the added cost of looks!

Some general notes on my labor charges:

Scott does NOT do ANY site preparation or site work, under any circumstances. If where you want the enclosure built is uneven, it will be built on the uneven surface. This is non-negotiable.

If you are a registered 501(c)(3), we will consider a donation made in the form of a reduction of material costs however, it is not guaranteed and it may not be determined until the end of the job at the final invoice.
