Wildlife rehabilitation. It's expensive. It's tiring. It's generally out of your own pocket or if you are lucky, donations help. I understand this and will work with you to get a design and structure to fit your needs and budget. Make sure to include your 501(c)3 information when you contact me becuase you can get tax exempt status with Home Depot! Below, you will find a few projects that have been completed for clients or personal need. With every build, I have preliminary questions on what you want and any customizations that will effect time and materials. I then provide you with a written estimate and design images. If you approve, we pick some dates and contract is sent over. I do not upcharge on materials and the labor charge covers everything else start to finish. The only exceptions, which are included on the estimate, are for the service area charges or if I am purchasing liability insurance for the work (see the main services page for more on insurance).
It is very important to note, you may be operating a non-profit, I do not. Materials can be worked with but please do not ask for free labor.

An 8'x24' run for chickens, but could just as easily be for wildlife! This size, however, may require permitting and other rules imposed by your municipality.

A recent build, an 8'x10'x8' enclosure with a half shingled roof. This was made for a tight budget so no pressure treated materials. Yes, the wood will not last as nearly as long, especially what is in contact with the ground, but, the walls were screwed onto the bottom plates and can be replaced easily (or more easily) if necessary.
Custom storage or nesting boxes to fit your need. Can also be made to look pretty too but *most* rehabbers want it functional without the added cost of looks!
Please be aware that I do not have a trailer. I can only haul a limited weight and length. To the right was the 8x10 enclosure (above) and it's four pre-built walls. Those are not made to come apart, as they have the hardware cloth on them. The walls were then screwed together. This makes it able to go with you should you relocate (or just want to move it).
The walls could be made into smaller squares (or rectangles) to make it more manageable however, this would increase the materials cost for lumber, but it can be done.
Some general notes on my labor charges:
I do NOT do ANY site preparation or site work, under any circumstances. If where you want the enclosure built is uneven, it will be built on the uneven surface. This is non-negotiable.
If you are a registered 501(c)(3), I will consider a donation made to the organization in material costs however, it will not be guaranteed and it may not be determined until the end of the job at the final invoice.
